VOLUNTEER INTELLIGENCE.
The annual inspection of the whole of the Volunteer force in the Auckland district will take place in the following order : —The Otahuhu and Ho wick Troops of Cavalry on the 27th instant ; the Artillery Company on the 2Gth instant ; the Naval Volunteers same day; Prince Alfred Troop, 28th instant ; Rifle Volunteers same day. On the Ist of May five men, selected indiscriminately from the different corps of Volunteers, will be taken to the Butts, Point Chevalier, to see what their average firing will amount to.
During Wednesday and yesterday an inquiry was goiug on at the Drill-shed before a Volunteer Court of inquiry in reference to a ecrlahi alleged dispute between Major Tisdall and Captain Derrom. The proceedings were strictly of a private nature.
