TIMARU.

April 15.—Last night the mate and a sailor from the schooner Ottawa went to the Beau iful Star, to pick up their captain, who was supposed to bo on board. The captain, ho never, was not there, and the men got into their boat to return to. the Uttawa. Captain Hart, of the Beautiful Star, watched the r.oat till about a steamer's length off the Ottawa. This morning the boat was found three miles down the coast, empty, and with blood spots over it It is supposed that the men had quarrelled, and both had been drowned. They had been drinking on board the steamer.
