SYDNEY.
April 7. —Mr. Lloyd, a squatter, recap tured a bushranger who succeeded in escaping on a previous occasion! —A petition, sig' ed by ten thousand persous, was presented to tho Governor praying lor a dissolution. The Governor replied that, be would refer it to his constitutional ndvisers. — The Hero arrived on April 4, after a smart passage.—The deck-house found otf Howe's Island, has been identified ns belonging to the Douglas, wrecked on the Elizabeth reef.—The Byron sighted a large steamer, supposed to be the Queen of the i'liarnes, on the Ist of March, in lat. 35 deg., long. 97.39 deg.—The markets are very quiet, and breadstuff* are weaker. Quotations for Adelaide flour are £12 for town, fill for country brands. Wheat is firm, and offers of 5s 7d have been refused. —Thiemann has been committed for trial on five different charges of larceny.
