Geahamstown, 2 p.m. The Caledonian have taken out some magnificent specimens this morning, and have also taken out good gold from the mid-level, above No. 2 shaft. This is quite new. The men have now got through the cross-cut, and the reef is looking splendid. The Caledonian have lodged in the Bank this morning 1926 ounces from general stuff.
The Queen of Beauty have completed a splendid crushing, 33 tons yielding 12S ounces.
The Vale of Avoca have also had another good crushing. From 10 tons of stone put through the machine they have loriVH 01 ounces.
The lJeaui i Independent have just crushed 30 tor;*, the result being a fine yield of 55 < nnces.
There is a gre; • run on Otagos this morning, consequtii!; on the new find in the Caledonian. It is supposed that the new reef runs direct for the Otago mine.
Tookey's have sold fm ly at £1110s. to j£ll 155., and are now held for £12.
Thames sha;\.?i are iv demand, at £18 10s.
The Inverness have taken out some very rich specimens this morning.
The Long Drive have over 350 lbs of good specimens on hand.
Tejlira is indignant at McLean's k LoDco^4\t Shortland, and challenges him to imprison Todd's murderers.
