Justices.]
Drunkenness.—Jeremiah Watson, and Ellen Whitakcr were fined eacli ss. and costs, or to be imprisoned 2 A hours "with, hard labor.
Drunk and Disorderly.—Edward Davidson was fined 20s. and costs for this offence.
Threatening-Language.—Joseph Couzens was charged by Mary Couzens with using threatening language to her. The case was remanded till Monday.
Insulting Lang-page.—Mary Avey was charged by Elizabeth Nicholson with having used insulting language towards her. Mr. J. B. Russell for the prosecution, Mr. Rees for the defence. After a long and hot discussion between counsel, the case was dismissed with costs. Larceny.—Michael Ticrney pleaded guiltjy to having stolen a coat and hat from the Northern Club, and was sentenced to one month's imprisonment with hard labour.
