WANGANUI.
March 27. —A case of suicide occurred this morning. A man named Baylis, well known on (he West Coast and in Otago, hung himself. The body was found suspended from a post, and life was extinct, though, strange lo say,' one foot touched the ground. The deed is attributed |to mental derangement, caused be jealousy and pressing pecuniary difficulties.
