Per s.s. Wallaby, for Wanganui :—3 cases, 2 trusses, 1 box, 1 parcel, A. Barnes ; 3 cases, T. H. Hall.—Combes and Daldy, agents.

The cutter Mary Eliza left Tauranga yesterday, and arrived in harbour this morning, after a smart passage. She brings two passengers and a mail. The cutter leaves again for Tauranga to-morrow. The schooner Dancing Wave will .ail for Levuka, Fijis, on Wednesday next. The schooner Meteor, from the East Coast, brings the following cargo : —276 bugs grass seed, 5 bales wool, 70 boxes apples, 30 sacks wheat, 3 ditto maize, order; 2 bales wool, 10 bags ditto, Nathan ; 3 tons onions, 5 casks oil, 20 cases quinces, 44 packages, 2 cases sundries, order. —M. Niccol, agent. During the recent heavy gale at Tauranga the cutters Eclair and Mary Ann dragged their anchors, the former receiving some slight damage. The p.s. Luna was unable to come alongside the wharf, and had to lie off with both anchors down. Considerable damage was done to property at Taurangn. A part of the roof of the mill at Tairua was blown away and several houses unroofed. The s.s. Wallaby left the wharf, Onehunga, on Saturday at 10.15 a.m., with'a sirall cargo and two passengers —Messrs. McFarland and Ellis. The s.s. Lord Ashley, from the South, and James Paterson, from Sydney, are n. w due. We understand that the barque Duke of •■*- ..^Edinburgh is not likely to be seen in this harbour for some time ; at any rate under her present commander, who took the opportuf. ' pity of the darkness on Friday night to cast off from the wharf, and clear out of the harbour, f>r Newcastle, without leave or license, discharging all his obligations with his foretopsail. Several of our merchants and tradesmen have been losers thereby.
