WE ATT BAY'S CHEAP SALE OP CLOTHING, FURNISHING, CA.EPETS, AND GENERAL DEAPERY, NOW GOING ON AT 26 AND 28, SHORTLAND-STREET, Auckland. (TIE.OWN DISTILLERY, \J AUCKLAND. The CROW.N DISTIL LERY has fully established these facts —that Spirits can be distilled in Auckland equal in quality to those imported, that they can be produced at a cost to give a large profit - (even selling, duty paid, at a price equal only to the duty on Foreign Spirits),—and that there is a ready sale and a daily increasing demand for the products of the Distillery. At the same time, it has become obvious that advantage should be taken of the present excellent and abundant harvest to lay in an ample stock of grain, at a minimum cost ; that a large quantity of Spirits should be made before next summer, the season least favourable for distillation ; that a large stock should be placed in bond to improve by age—the only -want to render the Spirits unexceptionable ; and that the Plant should be enlarged by an additional Still, and other minor improvements, especially with a view to make available the Sugar Beetroot, which can be grown to so much advantage in this Province, and produces an excellent spirit at a small cost. - In,order to attain the greater success which the fully carrying out of this plan would ensure, additional Capital is required, and this it is intended to raise by extending the present Proprietary, and thus affording to those who have expressed a wish to partake in the undertaking an opportunity of doing so. With this view it is proposed to register the Company under the Joint Stock Companies Act, with a •jiominal_Capital of £20,000, in 4,oooshares of £5 each. ■ Of these, 2,000 will be taken as paid up by the present Proprietors as the value of the Plant and Business ; i.bOO'will be sold so as to raise £5,000, and the remaining 1,000 Shares will remain the property of the Company, available for raising additional Capital should such a course be hereafter deemed advantageous. Thus the whole of the Capital to be raised will be used for the promotion of the efficiency and the extension of the business of the undertaking. The amount on the Shares now offered will be required to be paid up as follows: -10s. per Share on application, 10s. per Share on allotment, £1 per Share on the Ist of May, £1 per Share on the Ist of June, and £2 per Share on the Ist of July next. Particulars, and an order to inspect the Distillery, may be obtained on application to Mb. G'awkwell, Vulcan Lane, to whom applications for Shares may be made. As soon as a sufficient number of Shares are applied for, a meeting of the Shareholders will be held in order to complete the arrangements for the (Jomypan. NOTICE. NIGHTMAN. A.
