Per s.s. Napier, from Napier and Poverty Bay :—2O tuns whale oil, 5 tons pork-, 100 hides, J. S. Macfarlaue (a^cnt). Per Star of tho South, from Napier and Tologa Bay : - 1000 sheep, Buckland. The whaling barque Europe arrived ;it Russell yesterday. . She has been very unsuccessful. The schooner Meteor and cutter Woodstock were lying in the Bij Kiver, Poverty .Bay, on the 20th inst., wind bound. The Muriwai was also lying in Ihe Bay, loaded with grass seed, for Auckland. The schooner Tawcra was discharging at Poverty Bay on the 10th. The barque Kate is taking in cargo for Sydney. fcJlie has beeu detained till Saturday next. The s.s. Taranakiis expected in the Maunkau to-morrow. The ship Caducous will haul alongside on Tuesday evening, and commence to discharge on Wednesday morning.
