MR. JAMES NAUGHTON.

It is with sincere regret that we have to record the sudden death of Mr. James Naughton, tho Resident Magistrate of Onehunga. The deceased gentleman was this morning about one o'clock proceeding to retire to rest, when, in the passage of his residence in Chapel-street, he fell to the ground and almost immediately expired. The cause, we believe, was disease of the heart. The funeral will take place to morrow afternoon, at three o'clock.
