OUR EXTRAS.
We greatly regret that we have been disappointed in not receiving our expected extras by the WongaWonfja. The cause of this is explained in the following communication from our agents at Honolulu, dated February 26 :—'" The Oalifornian mail steamer arriving this (Sunday) morning, and the Australian steamer leaving at 2 p.m., leaves me no time to get out an extra for you by this opportunity ; otherwise I should have prepared one for you. I hope the next departure will be so timed as to allow me to serve you." It will be remembered that tihe mail steamer at San Pranciseo had been delayed in consequence of the burning of the overland mail on the Hudson lliver, with the object of enabling correspondents to replace their advices by telegrams. This accounts for the short stoppage of the mails at Honolulu.
