Evening Stae Office, 'dd^'dydd Tuesday evening.
Messrs. Cochrane and Son sold, at their mart, to-day :—Sugar, -.d per lb.; soap powder, 6s 3d ; tea, Is LUI par lb ; old port wine, 13s per dozen ; sherry, 14s per dozen ; vinegar, Is 9d per gallon ; kerosine, 3s 2d per gallon. Messrs. Lewis Brothers held a sale of fruit, at the stores of Messrs. H. S. Meyers, to-day, and the following prices were realised :—„ip-st-nc Pippins, 3fd to 4d ; Russets, ljd to 2|d: Crabs and Codlings, l£d j pears, I.UI ; damsons, 3s to 3s 9d per ease ; jams (C. E. Knight's( s^l per lb . jams, 1 lb. tins, 6s 91 per dozen.
