To the Editor of the Evening Stab.
SlB, —Have the evening newspapers of Auckland no better subjects for leading articles than a draper's selling off ? or has the abuso of Vogel become so stale that it is not hashed and dished up again for the gratifications of the morbid palates of the " dismals ?" Alas to what ends may we come when the editor's columns of a newspaper can be made the medium of an advertising draper.—l am, _c,
One who Detests Bunkdm
P.S.—Will you please inform me what you would charge me for a leading article, such as that in the Evening ls Tews of yestorday ? [Our editorial columns are not for sale —EdE.S.]
