GbAHAITSTOTVN, 2.45 p.m. The Nonpareil is finished ; 100 tons of general stuff gave 117 ounces. The "West Coast have lodged 25 ounces from the new reef. The Junction is looking better. They have commenced to take down the leader. The Caledonian retorting is still going on. Very rich specimens have been taken out of the winze this morning. The stone brought out is about half gold. The share market is very dull. Caledonians, Thames, and All Nations declining. The Tauranga mail is still stopped, awaiting Government interference. Mr. McLean has been apprised. The telegrams received via Auckland for the South, have left Ohiuemuri, but as the mailman is missing, it is not known whether they have reached Tauranga. Mr. Puckey and the policeman have returned, being unsuccessful in arranging with Te Ilira, who is very obstinate.
