AMATEUR PERFORMANCE.

This evening an amateur performance will be given, at the Theatre Royal, by members of the Auckland Rowing Club, assisted by professionals. The programme is to include Tom Taylor's comedy of " Still waters run deep," to be followed by a musical and Terpsichorean melange. The whole to conclude with; a double hornpipe, by Mrs. Howard and Mr. Mensdorf Atkins. In the comedy, Mr. Alfred E. Isaacs will sustain the character of John Mildmay, and Mr. H. W. Henderson that of Captain Hawksley. The performance is to be under the patronage of His Excellency the G-overnor, Lady Bowen, His Honor the Superintendent, Major Heaphy, V.0., and others, and, by the kind permission of the officers of the Artillery Corps, the jbaiad.will perform during the evening. We have no doubt there will be a good attendance. ■
