Taranaki took her departure from the Manukau yesterday, at 2 p.m., for tie South. Passengers—Mr. John Darlcy, Mr. and Mrs. Thompson and three children, Mr. Wheeler, Mr. McDonald, Mr. Ching, Miss Arthur, Mr. Montrose, Mrs. W. and Master Wilson, Messrs. Anderson, Gowlan, Marsh, Langman, Halpin, Harnoforth, and J. Francis. The schooner Amelie, Captain Hart, arrived in harbour last evening, from Tahiti, after a passage' of eighteen days. She experienced fine weather until making the land ; since then thick dirty weather. Captain Hart reports the arrival of the barque Prince Alfred at Tahiti with one hundred and twenty laborers. The schooner Edith, Captain Trayte, had arrived at Tahiti, and sailed for the Islands. ARRIVAL OF THE ALICE CAMERON. The clipper barque Alice Cameron, Captain Carter, arrived in harbor r this morning from Sydney, after a very stormy passage. She brings a general cavgo, and the following passengers :—Cabin : Messrs. Maxfield, Dransfield, Gaseoigne, Mrs. Manners, Miss Caddington. Steerage : My. J. McDermoto, M;ss McLeroy. « SALE OF THE GO-AHEAD. The s.s. Go-Ahead was sold this morning to Messrs. Webster and Captaiu Doile, for the Waitara and Taranaki trade.
