POLICE COURT.— Monday.
[Before J. Baber and A. Beetham, Esqs., Justices.] Drunkenness.—J. Wright, J. Connell, T. Burrows, Anne Flynn, Catherine Douglas, W. B. Atterton, Ann Reilly, and W. Pattern, were each fined 5s and costs, with the ÜBual alternative. Vagrancy.—Mary Walton, as an habitual drunkard,- and A. E. Cowan, for having no lawful visible means of support, were sentenced each to two months' imprisonment. Municipal Police Act.—GK Blakely, charged with having used obscene language in a public place, and being found guilty was fiued £10 and costs, ortobeimprisonedthreemonths. —C. Q-reenway was charged with allowing a nuisance on his premises in Abercrombiestreet, on the 15th inst.—Mr. Wynn for the prosecution. — Thomas Young, Inspector of Nuisances, deposed that he had warned defendant, who replied tbat he would not remove the nuisance, and defied witness to summon him ; saying that if he did so, ne (defendant) " would pitch into him."—Con* 1 stable Donovan corroborated previous witness. —John Mowbray, dpposed to the abominable nature of the nuisance, the wrter-closeb had not been cleaned out for seven months. AU the tenants were weekly tenants.—Fined SI and costs.
