During the week there has been remarkable activity in the sharemarket, and the sales effected has boen as follows:—Caledonians, at £50, £52 10s, £55, and £60; Nonpareil, £1 6s, £1 10s, £2, £2 10s,- Waitemata, 10s and 15s ; Cures, 5s ; Belfast, £1, £1 Is ; Thames, £10, £10 10s, £11, and £12 ; Nonpareil, £1 ; Shotover, 6s 6d. Several other shares have changed hands at an advance on previous rates. Present quotations are, £60 to £65; Nonpareils, £2 10s to £3 ; Waitemata, £1 to £1 10s ; Belfast, £1 to £1 5s ; Thames, £12 10s to 13*; Moanataiari, £1 to £1 10s ; Shotover, 6s 6s to 7s 6d; Cures 10s. to 12s. ; Central Italy lis to 12s.
