Mails will dose as under : — "For Thames, this day, afc 5.30 p.m., and tomorrow, at 10 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. For Tauranga, via Thames, this day, at 5.30 p.m. For Gisbcirne, per Meteor, tlis day, at 4 p.m. For Tarnnaki, Wangunui, and the Southern Provinces, per Wallabi, to-morrow, at 10 a.m. Late letters and telegrams for transmission from the Wanganui Station will be received at this office till 10.30 a.m., and at Onehuuga till 11.30 a.m. For Kussell and Kawakawa, per Comerang, to-morrow, at 3 p.m. For "Whangarei, &c, per Samson, on Saturday, 18th instant, at 2.30 p.m. For Xapanga, Driving Creek, and Tiki, per Lalla Jtookh, on Moclday, 20th instant, at 10.30 a.m. The rates of postage to be charged in New Zealand on correspondence for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi, will in the future be as follows : —Letters : Not exceeding ioz., 9d.; exceeding-Joz. and not exceeding loz., Is. 6d. ; and so on—9d for every additional or fraction of loz. Newspapers : Under 4oz. each, 4d. ; for every additional 4oz, 4d. Books and Pattrrn Parcels : Not exceeding loz., 2d. ; exceeding loz. and not exceeding 20z., 4d.; exceeding 2oz. and not exceeding 40z., Id. ; exceeding 4oz. and not exceeding Boz., Is. 2d. ; and so on—ls. 2d. for every additional Boz. or fraction of Boz.
