The declaration of tho poll for the Thames district took place yesterday at Short land. Jackson Keddell, Esq., the Returning Oflieer, declared the numbers to be as follow :— O'Neill GG9 Swan ... ... ... ... 530 Majority for O'Neill 130 Mr. VVarmoU returned thanks on behalf of the successful candidate, and Mr. Swan thanked those who had given him their support.
