RODNEY ELECTION.
The polling for this district took place yesterday. As yet the onjy returns are from the Hot Springs (Waiwera), whore at the close of the poll the numbers wore— J Farnall ... ... ... Shepherd ... ... _^e**S Majority for^f^n ... 70 have been received from Mahurangi, we art informed that n, gentleman from the Heads, Lower Mahurangi, yesterday afternoon reported at the Hot Springs that. up to noon some twenty-three votes had been polled Earnall, dfid about five for Shepherd. There is little doubt as to Mr. Famuli's return.
