Drunkenness. —H. Swills and Elizabeth Kennedy were each fined ss. and costs, with the usual alternative. C. Duckingfield forfeited bail.
Obtatni-vo Goods by False Pbetences.— William Watts, who was acquitted on the previous day of forging and uttering a cheque for £7 12.. 6d. to Combes and Johnston, purporting to bearthe signature of E. J. Wilson, was now charged with obtaining by false pretences the goods purchased and the money given in change for the document. The same evidence was a Iduced as on the previous day. Prisoner was committed for trial at the Supreme Court
Lunacy.—Two persons, proved to be of unsound mind, on the evidence of Drs. Bayntun, Lee, and Hooper, were sent to the Lunatic Asylum.
