BURNING- OF THE KEROSENE STORE.

The inquiry with reference to the burning of the kerosene store at Mechanics' Bay was held yesterday, at the Swun Inn, before T. M. Philson, Esq., Coroner. Mr. Inspector Bioharn conducted the examination of witnesses. F. Archard of Arehard and Brown, proprietors of the Btore, C. T. Harding, who had charge of the store, J. S. Maenamara, J. Macnamara, M. S. Lears, and W. S. Pardy, detective officer, gave evidence, and the jury came to the conclusion that the fire originated in a wilful act of incendiarism by some person or persons unknown; and added the rider, " The jury would recommend-that in future the kerosene should not be stored in any other building but one built of either brick or stone."
