AUCKLAND ROWING- CLUB. A GENreal meeting of the members of the Auckland Rowing Club was held on Thursday at the Thames Hotel, Mr. D. Oxley, Captain of the Club, in the chair. He informed the meeting that the Club had won three races at tho recent regatta, namely, the amateurs', the amateur four-oared gig race, and the four-oared gig race open to all, by which the Club became possessors of £30 and a silver cup valuod at six guineas.—Votes of thanks were accorded to the winning crews.—A resolution was passed to the effect that the cup won by Mr. Fletcher should be presented to him, but that gentleman, in a very liberal manner, returned it, requesting the Club to keep it as their property.—lt was ultimately decided f:hat Mr. Fletcher should hold the cup in his possession until the Club hud a place to keep it in.—A number of accounts were ordered to be paid, after which the meeting separated.
