The nomination of candidates to represe f the City East in the General Assembly cam off to-day in the Mechanics' Institute.'' •_*_ J. S. Macfarlane proposed and Mr. W. Sw son seconded the nomination of the Honorahl Julius Vogel. There was no other candi, date, and Mr. Yogel was elected without opposition.
