WOOL.

The wool sales closed firmly on the 29th of November, prices averaging a penny advance on the opening rates. Fifty thousand bales were left over for next sales. Hohnuth and Schwartze say that the tone of the wool sales throughout has been unexpectedly brisk.

New Zealand wool may be quoted at the following prices : —Scoured, 13d. to 16Jd. ; greasy, 6_d. to Bd. ; greasy, lambswool, Id.
