POLICE COURT.-Monday.
[Before J. O'Neill and 11. SI. Jervis, "Esqs., Justices.] Dbttnkenness.—For this offence David Young, John Flood, Richard Smith, and Adam Chisolm, were each fined 5s and costs, or the alternative of 24 hours' imprisonment. Breach op thk Vagrant Act.—Walter Pell was charged with the above offence, having been found in the garden of Mr. Brighton, Domain, on Saturday night at ten o'clock without any lawful excuse. The prisoner pleaded guilty. Having been several times before the Court for other offences he was sentenced to three mouths' imprisonment.
Laeceny.—Edward Jones was charged "with stealing a sum of money from the premises of R. Savoys in Edwardes-street, on the 21st instant.—Prisoner was remanded till Wednesday.—Another case.—Robert Leary was charged with stealing from Harry Schumaker, a quantity of wearing apparel, Tallied at £11, between the 16th and 17th instants.—At the request of Mr. Inspector Broham, prisoner was remanded till Wednesday. Then Court then rose.
