ARRIVAL OF THE LORD ASHLEY.
The fine a.s. Lord Ashley, Captain Andrew, arrived in harbour at daybreak this morning from Southern portß. Since her last visit to this port.she has been docked at Port Chalmers for the purpose of being cleaned and pamiocl. Captain Andrew reports having JeftPort Chalmers Tuesday, January 10, at 6 p.m.; arrived at Timaru, Wednesday, 11th, . at daylight; took in 700 bags of grain and left for Lyttelton at 5 p.m., thick weather ; arrived 'at Lyttelton od Thursday, 12th ; loaded up with grain and left for Wellington on Friday, 13th ; * experienced strong head - . winds throughout the' passage ; arrived at ~V; Wellington, Saturday, 14th, at 10 a.m. : left > again for ITapier on Sunday, 15tb, at 10 a.m. ; strong head winds; arrived at Napier on Monday, 16th ; left again same evening, at 6 p.m. ; rounded Portland Sound at midnight ; rounded East Cape, Tuesday, 17th, at noon ; strong head winds ; arrived at Tauranga on Wednesday, 18th, at 5 a.m. ; left again same day at 1 p.m.,-strong head winds ; came through Hole in the Wall at 9 p.m.; passed Cape Colville at 11.20, Tiritiri at 3, and arrived at Auckland Wharf at; 4.30 this morning.
