The weather was very hot yesterday, thermometer in the shade waa at 83, an<l j a the sun 104.
Anthony Brooking, charged with destroying the tombstone over Mr. Halse's children in St. Mary's Churchyard, has been remanded again. He is supposed to be insane. Mr Halse is too much respected in the place for any but a madman to do any injury to hig property.
