The s.s. Lord Ashley is expected from Napier and Southern ports on Wednesday next.
The barque Santiago will sail for Napier in a few days, to load for London.
The schooner Muriwai, hence, arrived at Poverty Bay on Tuesday last. The schooners Taw^ra and Colonist were passed, beating down, off Hicks Bay. The 5.3. Phoebe, carrying the English mail for the South, left the Mannkau yesterday, at 2 o'clock. Passengers : —Miss Emma Neale, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Deane and six children, Messrs. J. Smythe, Carrie!., Jones, Mrs. Jones, Misses Jones (2), Mr. and Mrs. Domett, Mr. and Mrs. Tait, Mrs. Buddie, Mr. and Mrs. Jordan, Mr. S. C. Brown, Mr. Sheridan, and 10 others.
Ths s.s. St. Kilda arrived in the Mamikau yesterday morning from Wanganui, bringing a cargo of cattle and sheep. Passengers : — Mr. and Mrs. Ewin, Miss Jackson, Miss Harding, Miss Brewer, Miss Reid, Mr. Jackson, Mr. Nixon, Mr. McLellan, Mr. Kirk; patrick. The schooner Excelsior arrived in harbor yesterday afternoon from Tonga, having left there on the 29th nit. She experienced light variable winds throughout.
