THE GALATEA CONCERT.

The concert given again on last evening, by His Royal Highness and the officers and men of the Galatea, was like that of the previous evening, an exceedingly successful one. There was a large attendance; the performance of the Prince himself and of hi* gallant shipmates were received with unbounded applause, and a very handsome sum resulted for the benefit of the " Home for Destitute Children." It must be admitted that the Prince is winnmg golden opinions by his action with reference to our charities ; and Auckland should know that in this it has received uuusual .consideration. And in tho genuine feelings which such actions must excite in a community, even a prince must feel more satisfaction than in the sycooliancy with which people so often prostrate themselves before royalty.
