DATES.
At the Police Court this morning a boy was ordered to be whipped for lat-cenv.
la the interpleader case, Bank of New Zealand v. Millet, judgment was given for the defendant. The Tokatea claim has completed a good crushing, the result being 82 ounces. Morning Star—32s ounces from 100 tons. The following gentlemen were nominal ed for the vacant seat in the Provincial Council — Messrs. Mackay, Nolan, Sutherland, and Bees.
The Eeturning Officer declared Mr Bees disqualified.
The show of hands was in favor of Mr. Nolan.
