PROVINCIAL COUNCIL.—Friday.
Vabiouß petitions were received; the 22nd clause of the Licensing Bill (the Permissive Clause) pave rise to warm discussion, and the debate was adjourned. Addresses were voted respecting municipal institutions for the Thames ; the sup. port of debtors ; a bridge at the Waikato Delta ; the appropriation 'of tolls. The estimates were kid on the table and the Provincial Secretary made his financial statement.
