Mr. Hamlin, to move, "That a 'respectful address be presented to his Honor the Superintendent, requesting him to place a sufficient sum on the additional estimates for the purpose of paying two efficient Scab' Inspectors for the province." Mr. Philips to move, " That an address be presented.to his Honor, the Superintendent, requesting him to place on the additional estimates the sum of £100 in aid of the Auckland Mechanics' Institute." fd.. . ~.';
'Mr. Beveridge to move, ''That a respectful address ba presented to his Honor the Superintendent, requesting him to place^upon .the. additional estimates a sum of £100 in aid of the Thames Mechanics' Institute." .
' Mr. Murray to move, "That* a'respectful address be presented to his Honor, the Superintendent, requesting him to place upon the additional estimates the sum of £80 for, competitive designs, showing the best manner in which the Albert Barracks and Fort Britomart can be laid out according to previous resolutions of this Council."
