Friday afternoon
Me. Mabtin Sholl reports a dull market during the past week. Small parcel^ of Shotovers have sold at 10a 6d ; Long Drives, £11 to £11 5s ; Caledonians, £12 ; slight demand for Long Drives at £11 5s ; Shotovers, at lls : Dauntless and Sink-to-Rise, at 4s.
Mr. Tonks held a sale at his mart, Q.ueenatreet, to-day. There was a good attendance, and the following prices were realized : potatoes, £4 Is. per ton ; cherries, 6|d. per lb. Mr. Or. W. Binney held a sale at his auction mart, to-day, and sold wheat at 53. per bushel, and flour at £15 7s. 6d. per ton.
Mr. L. W. Eaton held a sale at his auction mart 'o-day, and the following were the prices : —Canterbury potatoes, 5s to 5s 6d; new potatoes (Auckland grown), 2s per cwt.
