The next Criminal Sessions of the Supreme Court, at Auckland, will commence on the slh instant. The following is the list of prisoners awaiting trial, with their ages and nature of offences : — Augustus Lemine, 37, larceny ; Martin M. Weldon, 32, burglary ; G-eoive Johnston, 48, embezzlement; Joseph Escalion, 24, unlawfully wounding ; Thomas Crowe, 32, manslaughter (on bail) ; Hugh Connor, 27, forcible entry ; John McClintock, 42, breaking and entering a shop and stealing therefrom ; James Miller, 215, ditto; William Ghindry, 28, stealing from the person ; John Coffey, 23, breaking and entering a warehouse and stealing therefrom (on bail) ; Henry Tarara, 23, false pretences ; Samuel R. Savory and James Faulkner, forcible entry ; Charles Harris, 37, assault and robbery ; John Stone, 30, and George Escatt, 35, breaking and entering a dwellinghouse and stealing therefrom (on bail) ; Benjamin Bennett, 38, ditto. Taking the calendar as a whole, it is by no means a heavy one, and the offences are not by any means of such a serious nature as has frequently been the case.
