DISCOVERY OF HUMAN REMAINS.
A melancholy discovery was made last weet in the Titirangi ranges. A settler nanied Cantwell, whilst traversing some bush, cams upon a ljuman skeleton, fleshless v but wiw remnants of clothing, attached. By the side of the skeleton was found a revolver. The re*, mains are suppbsed»l t6 be those of'a'Capteffl Weston, who, many of our readers will recollect, disappeared in a mysterious manner aboof two years ago. One of the last circumstances known of Captain Weston's life was the facto! his having borrowed a pistol of the wife of * settler in the Titirangi district. After bis dv* appearance, unavailing search was made, no" until the present time nothing has been know* further. The discoverer communicated witn the authorities relative to the remains, and an inquest will doubtless set the matter O$M We understand that sufficient clothing m been found for purposes of identification.
