ARRIVAL OF THE LORD ASHLEY.
The Circular Saw Company's s.s. Lord Ashley, Captain J. Andrew, arrived in harbour this morning, from South dm ports.l >1 She left Port Chalmers on Nov. 16th. Arrived at Timaru on 17th; took in 500 sacks wheat, and left same evening for Lyttelto", at 4.80 pin". Arrived at Lytf elton on 18th; filled up with grain, and left for Wellington en Saturday, at 8.30 p.m. Arrived at Wellington on Sunday, 20th ;. experienced strong N.W. ; gales during the passage; left Wellington for Nipier, on Monday, 21st, at 1 p.m. Arrived at Napier on Tuesday, 22nd, at 2.30 p.m; fine weather; left again"same evening at 6 p.m.; rounded East Cape on, Wednesday,23rd inst., at 4 p.m.; strong N.W. winds. Arrived at Tauranga on Thursday, 24th inst, at 11 a.m. ; left again for Auckland at 3 p.m.; report H.M.&. Virago lying f there ; passed through Hole in-Wall at 10.30 p.m., and arrived at Auckland wharf at 7-30 a.m. Passengers —Saloon :—Mrs. Wrigley, Mrs. Charles and infant, Misses Williams (4), Messrs. De Beer, Leguson, Carrick, Cash, Miss and Master Jackman.
