The hour of it was unknown to Paris ; hut there vvjs a cheerful crowd present, nevertheless. The scene was one of rare and touching solemnity.. The Empress acted the Empress throughout, and none the les3 for showing the motherliness a3 well as patriotism of her noble nature.
