ARRIVAL OF THE 'ASTEROPE,' FROM LONDON.

The ship Asterope, in command of Captain H. Homer, is beating up the harbour as we go to press. She left London on the 19th July, passed deal on the 20th, and took her departure from Portland on the 23rd. She has consequently made the passage in one hundred days.

The Asterope brings eight second class and twenty seven steerage passengers, and a general cargo for this port and Napier. After discharging the Auckland portion she will leave for Napier, where, we understand, she will load for London.
