The p.p. Comerang came up from the Thames this morning. T!is C.S.S.N. Co.'s s.s. Lord Ashley* Captain 11. J. O. jAxrlrews, from Tauranga and Auckland, brought up in Ahurii'i roadstead at about 10 o'eioc-k j'e>terd;:v foienoon, having on board the long and anxiously expected mails from Europe, &c., via San Francisco. Had the Ash'ey not been detained in Tauranga, she would have arrived here on Wednesday night. She steamed for Wellington and southern ports about noon yesterday. — Ilaicke's Bay Herald, October 20.
