October 11, 7.28 p.m.—The election of members from the Southland Council to the Otauo Council is fixed for October 20.—The Otago Road Boards Ordinance, 1870, has been disallowed. —Mr. Fish, Mayor of Dunedin, has been appointed a Resident Magistrate. — The regulations for the Colonial Rifle meeting, at Auckland, in 1871, are gazetted.
