(Before Thomas Macffarlane, Esq., J.P.) Drunkenness. —J. Gorlfy, G. Mimmams.ELodge, W. Nairn,and Margaret Hamilton,were fined each ss. and costs, or to b3 imprisoned 24 hours with hard labour.—Eliza Lestrange, for a second offence, was fined 10s. and costs, or to bo imprisoned 48 hours, with hard labour. The same prisoner, for habitual drunkenness, was, as a vagrant, sentenced,to three months' imprison mem. Bbeach of Municipal Police Act. — Charles Chase, on the evidence of Sergeant Morrison, convicted of having set two dogs fighting on M< nday evening, on the Queen street Wharf, was, on pleading, ignorance of the law, sentenced to,, the mitigated penalty of 10s fine, or 4b hours' imprisonment. Perjury.—Wirihana Te Whiwki was charged witli perjury, and on the application of Mr. Sheehan, for Mr. MacCormick, the case, which has been frequently ac'joumed, was further adjourned till Tuesday next. Lakckn'y.—Bridget Lestrange was charged by Oh Nash and Co. with stealing a piece of poplinet, value 20s. Sentenced to three months' imprisonment.
