i Evend. a Stae Office. . . '■■■ YY . Monday afternoon. Messrs/S. Cochrane and Son beld, to-day, a very large sale of miscellaneous articles, comprising pictures, rosewood piano, iron tai.ks, household furniture, guns, pictures, sewing machines, &c. There was a very gddd attendance, and various articles of furniture were quitted at fair prices. Iron tanks brought £2 15s each ; piano, £20 ; sewing machines, £2 ; water-colors'of New" "Zealand scenery-ranged from £1 to £2 each.
