The Barque Cantero Salvage.—Mr. Hesketh for the.promoters, the captain and crew of the cutter Mary Ann, and crew and captain of the Hokiiiniia pilot-boat; Mr. Bennett for the Sydney Marine Assurance Company and the Australasia Fire and Life Assurance Company, and the owners of this vessel and cargo. —Tnia was a motion on behalf of the promoters, to enter up judgment. —The vessel was wrecked some time since on Hokianga bar. The Court had granted ,an order for the sale of the wreck. The vessel has been sold. There remained some question as to the ralue of a portion of the cargo, consisting of kauri gum. —Mr. Hesketh said that in niakmg the motion, he had some doubt as to whether doing so were not premature. The amount claimed by the promoters was £334. The Marshal (Colonel Balneavis) had sold the ship, but the f irae for his return does not expire till the 17th. A sum of £1,100 had been paid to the credit of the --Marshal, and the promoters claimed: £384' of this amount. Mr. Bennett assented to the application.—His Honor made an interlocutory doeree to the effect that the sum applied for was due to the promoters —to be paid out of the proceeds of the sale of the vessel when paid into Court.—Decree made accordingly.
