Notice is given that Thomas James Allen and Alfred Eustace have become' 'insolvent! —A meeting of the creditors of Alexander James is advertised for the 18 th instant. Persons interested in horse racing are requested to meet at Campion's Hotel on Saturday next, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. A meeting of the shareholders of the Pride of Erin Gold Mining Company is advertised to be held on the 28th instant. It will be seen by advertisement that the extensive sale of glass and earthenware at the Staffordshire Warehouse, by Afr.'Sibbin, has been postponed to Tuesday, 18th instant. A meeting of the members of the United Cri-ket Club was held h*3t evening at the Thames Hotel; Mr. Gatland in the chair. MrfWT|F. Cl'fton waa* appointed secretary, aiit (Vfr.-*-a. JSYates fr&sasuieiV «The fallowing gentlemen were appointed on the committee:— viessrs. Lankhiim, Mumford, Masefield, Olee-on, Horan, Gatland, and Leguat. A committee meeti-ig was afterwards held, when the secretary was instructed tp -write ito; the Hon. Julius Vogel to aik'^foi1 his' permission for the use of the Albert Barracks for tbe United Club. The meeting then 1 adjourned.
