PARNELL ROAD BOARD

A meeting of the ratepayers was held last evening, in St; Mary's School-room, for the purpose of receiving the report of the auditors of the accounts of; the late trustees, Reader Wood, Esq., SI.H.R. presiding. The report of the auditors, Messrs. Smart and Flowers, _,_!' be fouiid in our advertising columns.

Mr. Feazer moved, and Mr. S. Kempthorne seconded, a motion " That the report of the auditors be printed."—Carried.

A short discussion ensued as to the propriety of requesting the late trustees to deliver up the books, but it appeared to be the opinion of the meeting that this duty devolved on the late Board, without the necessity of any such requisition. The business concluded with a'j vote of thanks to the chairman.

The new trustees are Messrs. Smart, Blott, Le Roy, Pyke, and R. Lusk.
