ARRIVAL OF THE JAMES PATERSON.
The s.s. James Puterson, Captain E. Saimders, arrived in harbour this morning from Sydney. She left Port Jackson at 4 p.m. on on the 23rd, and cleared the Heads at 5 p.m. Passed the Three Kings at 9.30 p.m. on the 28th ; Worth Cape at 2.25 a-m. on the 29th ; and the Hen anH Chickens at 6 p.m. on thp same day, anchoring off Rangitoto at 1.30 a.m. yesterday. She came up harbour at daybreak, and steamed alongeide the -wharf. Light westerly winds were experienced to the North Cape, thence easterly and northerly winds, with heavy swell. Passengers : —
Messrs. W. Bowman, Arundell, and Chase, and ten in the steerage.
The James Paterson will leave again for Sydney on Wednesday next.
