St. Kilda, s.s., 01 tons, J. Flowerday, from Wanganui. Luna, p.s., Fairchild, from Wellington.
ARRIVAL OF THE AIREDALE
The C. S. Company's ss. Airedale, F. Holmes, Esq., commander, left Bluff Harbour at 5 p.m. on 19th ; encountered strong northeast winds and sea ; arrived at Port Chalmers at. 830 a.m. on 2uth; sailed t at 4.30 p.m. on 22nd ; had light winds and fine weather till arrival at Lyttelton ; made fast alongside Peacock's Wharf at 11.45 a.m. of 23rd ; sailed aga nat 6.15 p.m. of 24tn ; experienced strong north-east winds and sea tilldaylig ht; arrived at Wellington at noon, - unday; proceeded from thence with the three-masted schooner Lady Bird in tow, at 2 p.m. ol 26 h ; sighted H.M.S. Blanche at 4 p.m.; at 6.30 p.m. reached Picton ; left again at 11 same night; arrived at Nt-lscn on 27th, at 830 a.m ; Bailed at 10 p.m.; at 10 a.mi., 23th, passed tlie s.s. Taranaki; anchored off New Plymouth at noon ; li^ht winds, smooth water, and fine weather from Wellington; 6 p.m. proceeded to sua ; eased the engines at 10 p.m.; at 7.15 a.m., 29th, stopped off the Manukau for the tide 5 9 a.m. crossed the bar.
