NOTICE, TO ARMY AND NAVY OUT-PENSION-ERS IN THE AUCKLAND DISTRICTS. rpHE PAYMENT of the above Pensioners I for the ensuing quarter will be made as follows :— Auckland—Saturday, October 1, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Commissariat Office. Onehunga —Wednesdaj, October 5, at the Prince Albert Hotel. Otahuhu—Monday, October 3, at 9 a.m., at the Criterion Hotel. Drury—Monday, October 3, at noon, at the Farmers' Hotel. Panmure —Friday, October 7, at 9 a.m., at the Panmure Hotel. Howick—Friday, October *7, at noon, at Mr. Crew's Hotel. Any pensioners who may be unavoidably absent on the above days must apply on or before the 20th October, 1870, otherwise no . payment will be made to them until the following Quarter. Army, Navy, and East India Compauy's Half-pay, Irish Constabulary, and Civil Service Pensions will not be paid on any of the above dates. HENRY C. IN pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the Q-eneral Assembly of New Zealand, intituled " The Regulation of Elections Act 1858," I, Henby Colin Balneavis, Esquire, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of N ewton, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ, bearing date the eighth day of September, 1870, issued under the hand of his Honor the Superintendent, an ELECTION will be held for the return of TWO qualified persons to serve as MEMBERS for the PROVINCIAL COUNCIL for the said Electoral District, and that the NOMINATION of such Candidates will lake place at the Newton Academy, Newton, at noon on TUESDAY, the fourth day of October, 1870, and that the Poll (if necessary), -will take place on WEDNESDAY, the sth day of October, 1870.
